House Bill 303 (HB 303) specifies unlawful inducements for certain liquor licensees.


 House Bill 303 (HB 303) creates Section 60-8A-1.1 NMSA 1978 of the Liquor Control Act that specifies unlawful inducements for certain licensees. It prohibits any retailer licensee, restaurant licensee, club licensee, governmental licensee or licensee that dispenses any kind or class of alcoholic beverage to give money or any other thing of substantial value, directly or indirectly, in an effort to induce a person to persuade or influence another person to purchase or contract to purchase or refrain from purchasing or refrain from contracting for purchases any particular brand or kind of alcoholic beverages. HB 303 further prohibits any of the above named licensees from receiving or accepting an inducement prohibited in this section.

HB 303 would be effective on 1 July 2021.
