House Bill 224 (HB 224) changes the structure of and term limits served on community action boards.

Analysis:

House Bill 224 (HB 224) changes the structure of and term limits for service on community action boards through which community action agencies administer their community action programs in Section 27-8-6 NMSA 1978. It no longer requires these boards to be composed of fifteen members and deletes the prohibition on members who are not elected public officials from serving for more than ten years in total on a board. It still retains the prohibition that prevents these members from serving for more than five consecutive years.
