Summary:
 Senate Bill 184 (SB 184) modifies the Motor Vehicle Excise Tax distributions.
Legislation Overview:
 Senate Bill 184 (SB 184) changes distributions of the Motor Vehicle Excise Tax revenue (MVET).
The bill eliminates a distribution to the General Fund and redistributes that portion to the State Road Fund which increases from 21.86% to 75% and the local government Transportation Project Fund from 18.75% to 25% of the tax revenue.

SB 184 is effective, if passed and signed into law, July 1, 2024.
