 House Bill 214 (HB 214) appropriates one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to the board of regents of Western New Mexico University to create and support a men's baseball program.  

 House Bill 214 (HB 214) appropriates one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) from the General Fund (GF) to Western New Mexico University (WNMU) for expenditure for Fiscal Years (FY) 2025 and 2026 to create and support a men's baseball program.

Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY 2026 reverts to the GF. 
 

 According to its website, WNMU has a men’s basketball team called the Mustangs.
