Summary:
 House Bill 210 (HB 210) appropriates two million eight hundred thousand dollars ($2,800,000) to the Department of Finance and Administration for the regional planning districts to provide grant writing and technical assistance services. 
Legislation Overview:
 House Bill 210 (HB 210) appropriates two million eight hundred thousand dollars ($2,800,000) from the General Fund (GF) to the Department of Finance and Administration for expenditure in Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 and subsequent FYs to provide grant writing and technical assistance to regional planning districts one through seven with each district receiving four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000).
 
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a FY will not revert to the GF.
 
Current Law:
 There are seven regional planning districts: 
•	North Central NM Economic Development District;
•	Mid Region Council of Governments;
•	Eastern Plains Council of Governments;
•	South Central Council of Governments;
•	Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments;
•	Southwest New Mexico Council of Governments; and
•	Southeastern NM Economic Development District.
