Summary:
 SB23 commissions an academic study of behavioral health statutes by the Legislative Council Service.. An appropriation of $100,000 is made to support the study.

 Synopsis: SB23 makes an appropriation to the Legislative Council Service to contract for an academic review of behavioral health statutes and make recommendations for amendments to the behavioral health statutes.
Analysis: This bill makes an appropriation of one hundred thousand dollars ,$100,000, to the Legislative Council Service appropriated from the general fund to the legislative council service for expenditure in fiscal year 2025 to contract for an academic review of existing behavioral health statutes and make recommendations for the consolidation of and amendments to related statutes, including consideration of the intercept model of behavioral health care.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2025 shall revert to the general fund
