Summary:
 House Bill 168 (HB 168) prohibits undocumented persons from receiving, transporting or possessing a firearm or destructive device.  
Legislation Overview:
 House Bill 168 (HB 168) creates the misdemeanor offense of an undocumented person receiving, transporting or possessing a firearm or destructive device in this state.  

An “undocumented person” is defined as an individual not legally present in the United States at the time of the receiving, transporting or possession of the firearm or destructive device.  
 
Current Law:
 Currently, the following people are prohibited from receiving, transporting or possession a firearm in the state: felons, those convicted of battery against a household member, criminal damage to property of a household member, or first degree stalking; or those convicted of certain federal firearms offenses.
