 Senate Bill 125 (SB 125) removes the sunset date for an income tax exemption for armed forces retirement pay and extends the exemption to surviving spouses.
Legislation Overview:
 Senate Bill 125 (SB 125) removes the sunset date for an income tax exemption for armed forces retirement pay that was set to expire in 2026. SB 125 permits the exemption for surviving spouses of veterans who received armed forces retirement pay.

SB 125 does not have an effective date. If passed and signed into law, the assumed effective date is 90 days after the end of the session, May 15.
