 House Bill 148 (HB 148) authorizes the Early Childhood Education and Care Department to enter into intergovernmental agreements with tribal governments.

SECTION 1House Bill 148 (HB 148) amends Early Childhood Section 9-29-8 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 2019, Chapter 48, Section 8, as amended) to insert Subsection P to require that the Department shall enter into an intergovernmental agreements with tribal governments to plan, conduct, disburse funding to and administer Early Childhood Education and Care programs.

SECTION 2 makes the effective date July 1, 2023.
