Summary:
 House Bill – 104 (HB 104) This legislative act in New Mexico establishes a Statewide Public Health and Climate Program and a Public Health and Climate Resiliency Fund.

 House Bill 104 (HB 104) The Statewide Public Health and Climate program, should be established by January 1, 2025.  The bill addresses public health emergencies related to ongoing climate change and extreme weather events. The Resiliency Fund, created as a reverting fund, will provide financial support for political subdivisions, emphasizing planning for low-income and disadvantaged communities. The act appropriates funds, including $1,100,000 for the Statewide Public Health and Climate Program and $10,000,000 for the Resiliency Fund from the general fund, with specified purposes and conditions for grant applications.
